Of all the remaining equids (zebras and wild asses) on the planet every single one is now on the IUCN endangered list.
The minimum criteria to qualify for ‘membership’ on this shocking list is an 80% drop in numbers over the last 10 years (most of equid species have undergone greater declines than this)
Most of our wild equids are disappearing – WEPT research is defining their behaviour and conservation needs, so we can motivate the reversal of this decline before it is too late.
